My paintings are about the conflict present in dualities like the beautiful and the grotesque or the internal and the external. I am interested in the psychological disconnect between attraction and repulsion in terms of today’s social norms. My work is part of the global conversation in contemporary art.
If the artist had held this piece (prior to it's self-revealings)to her heart and metaphysically transferred her feelings to the medium, I would intuitively state that her heart was "on fire" at the time. :) For whatever reasons, for whatever thoughts and emotions, this peice is justifiably a representation of the many folds or dimensions of the heart! Lovely and profoundly passionate! Thanks!
